What assessment has the Minister made of the UK Government's scheme to make it simpler for international teachers to work in English schools?
Answered by Minister for Education and the Welsh Language | Answered on 22/06/2022
The Welsh Government has already brought in legislation that allows the Education Workforce Council to receive applications for registration in Wales from suitably qualified candidates from any territory across the world. This has been in force since 1 January 2021 and the Education Workforce Council has received and processed applications under these new regulations. The UK Government scheme will allow similar applications to be received in England.
