What discussions has the Minister had with the WJEC regarding A-Level English Literature exam papers being produced with missing information?
I am aware of the error that occurred in the A level English Language and Literature paper. WJEC have apologised for this error and are taking the matter very seriously. I would like to reassure learners that there are processes in place to ensure that no one will be disadvantaged by this mistake. WJEC have assured me that following the August results, there will be a thorough review of how this error occurred and actions will be taken where needed.
I continue to meet regularly with WJEC and Qualifications Wales, to ensure our learners are fully supported throughout this examination series. I last met with them on the 16 June, where we discussed this very issue. WJEC confirmed that this matter is being investigated and that the outcome will be communicated transparently to any individual centre impacted.
