Will the Minister provide an update on the Deputy Minister's 23 March statement regarding the £500 payment for unpaid carers that “a registration process will open later this year" and that the Welsh Government "will publish further details about when and how to register by the end of April”?
The Welsh Government has published information about the £500 support payment for unpaid carers on its website:
Individuals can register for the payment with their local authority from 16 May. All claims must be received by 15 July. Eligible individuals who register for the £500 will receive their payment by 30 September.
Local authorities are also preparing their own guidance, including information about how to make a claim. Each local authority will host their own online registration form and will offer support to help those who do not use the internet to register.
