Will the First Minister outline what steps are being taken to increase the number of affordable homes in Brecon and Radnorshire?

This Government remains committed to increasing the number of affordable homes across the whole of Wales. This is demonstrated in our Programme for Government commitment to build 20,000 new low carbon homes for rent in the social sector.

To support this commitment, we doubled the budget to the Social Housing Grant in 2021-22 to £250m. We have also set record levels of funding through the budget in this current year (2022-23) with £300m and indicative draft budget allocations of £330m in 2023-24 and £325m in 2024-25.

Powys has been allocated £13,676,290 in 2022-23 through the Social Housing Grant to deliver much needed affordable homes.
