How much Welsh Government funding has been allocated to the North and South Wales Metro respectively?
Our Metros will change the way we travel by creating modern, sustainable bus, rail and cycling and walking networks, creating a range of work and leisure opportunities while reducing the environmental impact of our transport network. They will play a critical role in delivering the priorities and objectives of Y Llwybr Newydd.
Each of the Metro networks are at different stages of maturity. We are working collaboratively with communities to meet local needs and regional priorities, while meeting our obligations for future generations. I can confirm that in the present financial year I approved up to £25m for the North Wales Metro programme and up to £19.1m for projects relating to the South Wales Metro programme.
