Will the Minister provide details of the process for residents impacted by recent flooding to seek financial support under the case-by-case basis mentioned in the Minister's written response to OQ57693 tabled for answer in Plenary on 2 March 2022?

My response in plenary recently related to the potential impacts on communities following flooding as a result of the recent storms.

For this purpose the Welsh Government do have a discretionary scheme – “The Emergency Financial Assistance Scheme” to give special financial assistance to local authorities faced with responding to a serious emergency. To date, we have received no requests from local government to open the Scheme following the recent storms.

Under the Welsh Government Discretionary Assistance Fund (DAF), if a householder has been affected by an incident such as a flood or fire in your home and are experiencing severe financial hardship, they may be eligible for an Emergency Assistance Payment (EAP) grant to help meet essential costs.
