What plans does the Minister have to extend or replace the wild deer management action plan when it ends this year?

In February 2011, we launched the Wild Deer Management Strategy which set out our aims for the management of wild deer in Wales. The accompanying 5-year action plan began the work to deliver the objectives of the strategy. Our current updated Action Plan continues the work being done to realise our vision for Wales to benefit from its wild deer population, in balance with the natural, social and economic environment. Officials will work with Natural Resources Wales in the coming months to assess what is required when the current Action Plan expires at the end of the year.
