How many appeals were lodged by those whose applications for the Economic Resilience Fund were rejected by the Welsh Government, and how many of those appeals were successful?

Answered by Minister for Economy | Answered on 07/03/2022

In the latest round of the Economic Resilience Fund (ERF):

  • 2,553 applications have been approved and offered at a combined value of £12.9m
  • 982 applications have been rejected
  • 2,349 payments have been accepted at a combined total of £12.1m

Please note that the current package is still in delivery and subject to change.

We do not hold figures on the number of appeals. There is no formal appeals process, however some cases have been reconsidered following representation.

The standard response for rejected applications is provided below. Please note that each assessor can also adapt the below response to provide a bespoke response to specify the reason for rejection.
