Will the Counsel General provide an update on whether the Welsh Government has any plans to extend votes for prisoners?

Because of the pandemic, we did not legislate as planned in the Local Government and Elections (Wales) Act 2021 to enfranchise certain prisoners from Wales for local government elections, as part of their rehabilitation. This remains an important issue within our electoral reform agenda and we will return to it during the current Senedd.
