What economic modelling was taken into account when deciding Boxing Day 2021 COVID restrictions?
Answered by Minister for Economy | Answered on 16/02/2022
Economic modelling included an analysis of the Technical Advisory Group reports, which took account of a range of economic and sectoral impacts associated with alert level two measures, or equivalent.
Additionally, advice considered previous support provided via the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, labour market figures and the number of enterprises in industries that would be required to close under alert level two restrictions
