Will the Minister provide an update on what progress has the Welsh Government made in developing a strategic plan for the future energy grid to 2050?

The Welsh Government has appointed the Energy Systems Catapult (ESC) as an independent and expert body to help deliver this work. The ESC will develop evidence based scenarios of the various paths Wales could take to decarbonise the energy system to achieve our net zero targets, drawing on the perspectives of a wide range of people across Wales.
