What conversations has the Welsh Government had with the UK Government regarding the use of glue traps, to ensure a consistent approach given that both administrations are considering a ban on the devices in the near future?

Welsh Government officials have held discussions with both Defra and Scottish Government counterparts regarding the banning of glue traps. In the Welsh Government’s policy response to the Agriculture White Paper consultation we have stated that we will bring forward legislation to amend the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 to ban the use of snares and glue traps.
