Will the Minister provide information on how a child under 16 can provide proof of recovery from COVID-19?
Such recovery passes are included in the Digital NHS Youth Pass service for International Travel for Welsh residents’ with PCR tests processed at laboratories managed across the four nations under the UK Testing Programme arrangements. These include tests taken by the public at regional/ local and mobile testing units across Wales, home tests and weekly testing in care homes and account for approximately 70% of all tests undertaken.
The remaining Welsh PCR tests are processed at NHS Wales’s laboratories and are predominantly tests undertaken in the NHS for both patients and staff. These test results are provided to the relevant citizen and reported to NHS Wales and contact tracing systems but do not, currently, flow into the NHS COVID Pass. We are working with UK Health Security Agency and NHS Digital to arrange this data flow and will update our website when this is available.
