What steps is the Welsh Government taking to identity, establish, and work with identified resident groups in properties affected by cladding or other fire safety issues to ensure ongoing dialogue between residents and government?

Resident voice is at the heart of our reforms, which are directly informed by our wider engagement with all our stakeholders and partners, including residents. I have met with and continue to meet with residents directly affected by building safety issues.

The safety of residents is at the core of our future reforms to the existing building safety system. Our white paper set out bold and important reforms to strengthen resident voice to ensure they have more say in matters that affect their homes and can be confident their buildings are safe.

Having good communication and engagement with residents is vital, not only for building safety but also for community cohesion and social well-being.  Our engagement plans are being developed to ensure that engagement is inclusive and widely representative to reflect and obtain the truly unfiltered resident perspective.
