How many people have required hospital treatment with the Omicron variant in Wales?

This information is not held centrally by the Welsh Government. Daily figures are published on the number of COVID-19 patients in hospital and admitted to hospital. However, these figures are not split by variant of COVID-19.
The latest variant surveillance data as at January 18 2022 published by Public Health Wales shows that the vast majority of sequenced cases in Wales in the latest week are the Omicron variant.
