What is the Welsh Government doing to support Welsh athletes to fulfill their potential through the new Great Britain Hockey Talent System Framework?
The Welsh Government provides funding to Hockey Wales, the national governing body for the sport, through Sport Wales. The funding supports all areas of the game, from grassroots and performance development to workforce.
Hockey Wales has collaborated with the other home nation hockey governing bodies in the design and implementation of the new framework. The framework is intended to be used as a guide to support the implementation of the specific Welsh pathway structure for players in Wales. Hockey Wales supports the development of players within the pathway, in line with the requirements of the player pathway criteria.
