What assessment has the Welsh Government made on the environmental impact of data centres?

We have not undertaken an assessment. We are of course aware of the significant power requirements of data centres and also the role they play in supporting and enabling the digital services we all consume. There is a growing global evidence base on the impact of data centres that we can draw upon and this is an issue that is being explored around the world. We will continue to monitor that evidence as it emerges.
