When does Welsh Government expect to have delivered the flu and COVID-19 booster vaccination programmes to adults aged 70 and over, broken down by health board?

The Covid-19 Autumn booster programme is now well under way in Wales. We are working closely with health boards to achieve our aim to have offered the majority of those who are eligible a vaccine appointment by 31 December. We expect that all health boards will shortly be opening up a call to those over 70 years who are eligible but are yet to receive their booster.

The daily Public Health Wales (PHW) uptake figures published 23 November show 78.2% of adults 80 years and older, 82.1% aged 75-79 and 80% aged 70-74 have received their booster dose. Rapid COVID-19 virology - Public | Tableau Public

The uptake figures for each health board are detailed within the PHW weekly summary report available here: Wales COVID-19 vaccination surveillance weekly report.pdf

Flu vaccines for the over-65s are given in primary care and are available through  the winter. The latest data at 18 November shows that 66.6% of the over-65s have already been vaccinated this season.
