Will the Minster outline the Welsh Government's plans to tackle the housing crisis in Wales?

Answered by Deputy Minister for Climate Change | Answered on 25/11/2021

Housing is a top priority for this government, and is reflected as such in our Programme for Government. We will increase access to affordable homes through our ambitious target of 20,000 low carbon homes for rent in the social sector this Senedd term. Alongside this, we will transform the legislative framework for landlords and tenants in Wales through the Renting Homes Act and fundamentally reform homelessness services to focus on prevention and rapid rehousing. In addition, action to address the specific issues of second homes and affordability in Wales are set out in my Oral Statement of 23 November.
