As the Glastir support scheme no longer funds new capital expenditure, how does the Government intend to support the traditional construction sectors which have seen a reduction in maintenance and refurbishment expenditure by farms that depend on the support of this scheme?

An additional £66.79m has been allocated to annually extend Glastir Advanced, Commons and Organic contracts until December 2023 and Glastir continues to support capital expenditure through Glastir Small Grants. Contracts are still being fulfilled from the last two rounds of Glastir Small Grants for the Carbon and Landscape & Pollinator themes, with much seasonal capital works being carried out during this autumn and winter.
