What is the Welsh Government doing to improve economic productivity in the Monmouth constituency?

Answered by Minister for Economy | Answered on 04/11/2021

on 19 October, I made a statement in Plenary outlining my priorities for the economy for this term and my vision for the economy of Wales, including Monmouth. This Government will work across departments and with other partners in a Team Wales approach to deliver better jobs, narrowing the skills divide and enabling businesses to prepare for a net zero economy.

Examples of initiatives include the upcoming Employability Strategy, Young Person’s Guarantee and increased opportunities to retain Welsh graduates.

I will also continue to stress to the UK Government the need for Wales’ fair share of research and development investment to help us create the jobs of tomorrow and the associated productivity benefits.
