What measures is the Welsh Government taking in response to the finding by the Royal College of Physicians that 46 per cent of respondents in Wales are not prepared for winter?
We work closely with the Royal College of Physicians and have noted their findings. The Health and Social Care Winter Plan 2021-22 was published on 21 October and calls for each region to develop an integrated health and social care winter plan through the mechanisms of the Regional Partnership Boards (RPBs). This will support the delivery of a joined up approach to winter planning and optimal deployment of workforce, recognising that workforce capacity and the impact of the ongoing effects of the pandemic on the workforce are amongst the biggest risks facing services this winter.
