What discussions has the Welsh Government had with the UK Government about revisiting the decision to cancel funding to electrify the south Wales mainline to Swansea?

Since 2017 we have consistently and repeatedly highlighted that the cancellation of electrification to Swansea was a huge mistake both in terms of decarbonisation and economic opportunities that faster journey times across South Wales and to and from Bristol and London would provide.
We continue to push the UK Government to publically commit that this project will be taken forward and delivered on the ground as soon as possible, and certainly in the first few years of the next rail funding control period which starts in 2024.
