How many meetings has the Minister had with UK Government counterparts since 2018 regarding the prevention of slavery in Wales?

Modern Slavery is a reserved matter, but this Welsh Government is committed to working constructively with the UK Government and partners in Wales to prevent modern slavery, bring perpetrators to justice and support victims.

In recent years, the UK Government has organised quarterly Devolved Administration meetings at an official level.  In addition to this, my officials have productive and regular meetings with their UK Government counterparts.

My officials are members of the Home Office-led ‘Modern Slavery Strategy and Implementation Group’ and last month worked with the Home Office officials to co-host a roundtable for partner organisations in Wales. This is part of a series of events to inform the development of a new Modern Slavery Strategy for England and Wales
