Will the Minister provide an update on the progress and cost of the Heads of the Valleys road project, including a date for completion?

The Heads of the Valleys dualling scheme was split into six sections to enable a phased delivery. Sections 1, 3 and 4 have been completed. Sections, 2 5 and 6 are currently under construction.
Section 4 Tredegar to Dowlais Top
- Opened November, 2004
- Cost £47m
Section 1 Abergavenny to Gilwern
- Opened May, 2008
- Cost £60m
Section 3 Brynmawr to Tredegar
- Opened September 2015
- Cost £158 million (Part-Funded by circa £78m of EU funding from the European Regional Development Fund).
Section 2 Gilwern to Brynmawr
- Remains on target for completion this year.
- Cost £336m
Sections 5 and 6 Dowlais Top to Hirwaun
- End date: 2025
- Cost £590m
