Will the Minister provide an update on the progress of work on the Gilwern to Brynmawr section of the A465?

The A465 section 2 project remains on target for completion later this year, though additional repair works to Clydach Viaduct have resulted in some delays. The Brynmawr off-slip will be re-opened at the earliest opportunity following the traffic switch to the upper level in August last year.
We are grateful for the patience of road users and those living and working in the area whilst final construction works are completed on this tremendous engineering challenge which will bring further benefits to the Heads of the Valleys communities.
