Further WQ83347, will the Minister provide an indication of the timescales involved with the task and finish group and when it is likely to report?
The task and finish group met for the first time in September 2021. An audit of current pathways is underway and this is not expected to be completed before January 2022. The group will report its findings and subsequent recommendations as soon as the work has concluded. The Welsh Government will review the actions from the group and take appropriate any appropriate action needed. There is currently no end date for the task and finish group but the Chair and group members are committed to providing its findings as soon as possible. Preventing harm and irreversible sight loss remain a priority.
