Will the Minister confirm the expected completion date of the repairs to the A470 Brecon bypass, and when the traffic cones will be removed?

Following a competitive tendering exercise, a contractor has been appointed to carry out the geotechnical repair works on the slope above the A40 and also undertake the enhanced embankment maintenance works to improve resilience on this stretch of the trunk road.
The contractor is currently preparing to commence site access and construction works with a planned completion date of the end of November 2021. On completion all traffic management will be removed and the road returned to two lanes in both directions.
