Will the First Minister provide the number of appointments made to public bodies since he was appointed, and provide a list of these bodies?
From the time of my appointment as First Minister of Wales, 293 public appointments have been made by Welsh Ministers to Public Bodies, Health Boards, Trusts and Community Health Councils in Wales.
These appointments relate to public bodies listed in the Order in Council at the time of appointment, which makes provision for regulation by the Commissioner for Public Appointments in accordance with the Governance Code on Public Appointments. The total includes appointments made through competition, re-appointments and direct appointments.
