What assistance is the Welsh Government providing to farmers to deal with ragwort weeds in Wales?

The Welsh Government has published a “Code of practice to prevent and control the spread of Common ragwort”. The Code provides guidance on identification and the most appropriate means of control, taking into account both animal welfare and environmental considerations.
Responsibility to control injurious weeds, including Common ragwort, lies with the landowner/occupier of the land. It is not illegal to have ragwort growing on your land but control may be required if there is a medium to high risk it could spread to land used to graze animals or produce haylage or silage
