Will the Minister commit to undertaking a round of The Woodland Investment Grant in 2022 with the aim of supporting woodland creation projects which currently cannot apply because they do not have any necessary planning and environmental consents granted or close to being achieved?

As part of our plan to create a National Forest to extend from the North of Wales to the South we will support the creation of 30 new woodlands. Subject to budget decisions, we intend to open further rounds of The Woodland Investment Grant in future years to contribute to this. The current round will be evaluated to inform the details of any future rounds.
