Will the Minister make a statement on the timescale for publishing the Welsh Baccalaureate results for 2021?

Answered by Minister for Education and the Welsh Language | Answered on 26/07/2021

The Skills Challenge Certificate and Welsh Baccalaureate results will align with those of A-levels and GCSEs, with the Advanced results available on 10 August and the Stage 4, Post 16 Foundation and National results available on 12 August. Further information about this is available on the WJEC website:

Results and Grade Boundaries (wjec.co.uk).

The Welsh Baccalaureate is a composite qualification made up of the Skills Challenge Certificate, which is a graded qualification, as well as supporting qualifications. Due to this aggregation of different qualifications which can have different results days, for example vocational qualifications and GCSEs in the case of Advanced Welsh Baccalaureate, not all the Welsh Baccalaureate results will be available on results days. This is the case in other years when examinations are taken and is not unique to the assessments arrangements that have been put in place for 2021 to support learner progression.
