Will the Minister outline the reasons why the Welsh Government withdrew from judicial review proceedings regarding the building of 300 homes in Grove Park, near Cefn Fforest, and how much money and civil service time has been spent on preparing for the case?
A court order has been made which requires the Welsh Ministers to re-determine the appeal. As a consequence, I cannot comment in relation to the appeal or judicial review as to do so may pre-judge the outcome of the appeal.
As at the most recent invoicing date of 13 May 2021, the Welsh Government had incurred £1,226.80 in legal costs in relation to the appeal. All costs relating to this appeal, including legal costs, have been met from within existing budgets for that purpose.
