Will the Minister provide a breakdown of the costs of the KPMG review of the development of pooled funds by regional partnership boards in 2020?

Answered by Minister for Health and Social Services | Answered on 18/06/2021

Following a competitive tender exercise, KPMG was contracted to review the maturity of each Regional Partnership Board (RPB) pooled fund for care home accommodation functions for older people. It was paid £24,499 to do so.

Under the terms of the contract, KPMG reviewed information and engaged with RPBs. KPMG published its findings and made recommendations in a Pooled Budgets Evaluation Report. Ministers published this last November – the links are below. We are now working with RPBs to ensure those recommendations are addressed.
