Given that the UK Government has told GPs in England to transfer patient data to NHS Digital, will the Minister confirm that this is not going to happen in Wales?

I published a Ministerial Statement last week setting out our position with regards to sharing patient information in Wales. GPs in Wales will not be required to transfer Welsh residents’ patient data to NHS Digital. However, we are committed to enhancing how we use health and care data in Wales and we will be engaging with the health care profession, patients and the public as we further develop our proposals.
