What was the total expenditure, both capital and revenue, by the Commission on offices occupied by the Welsh Government on the Senedd estate in each of the past five years?
The Commission is not responsible for funding any accommodation changes and improvements on the floors occupied by the Welsh Government.
The sublease of the 5th and half of the 2nd floors to Welsh Government was agreed in 2010. Part of the agreement included the decision that the Commission would not implement a charging regime for the space and services used by the Government in Tŷ Hywel, as to do so would require the creation and administration of processes to enable a transfer of funds from the Government to the Commission. Instead, the budget for the rental and services charges for Tŷ Hywel is built into the Commission’s operational budget, which of course comes from the Welsh Block.
