When the Welsh Government's stay local restrictions are lifted on 27 March and the UK Government’s on 29 March 2021, will regulations permit residents living outside of Wales to travel here from 29 March?

Travel into and out of Wales will not be permitted between 27 March and 12 April without a reasonable excuse, such as it being essential for work. This is in line with the public health advice we have received.

We intend to lift this restriction on 12 April unless public health advice is to the contrary.

Regulations in Scotland require Scottish citizens to stay local. English citizens are likewise advised not to travel far from home and are not allowed to stay away overnight.

International travel will continue to be prohibited without a reasonable excuse after 12 April, as it will in England.
