Will the Minister confirm whether staff employed in independent hospitals, including mental health settings, who took care of NHS patients during the pandemic, are eligible for the one-off payment for NHS and social care staff announced on Wednesday 17 March 2021?

I value the hard work and dedication of each and every one of our valued health and social care workers which is why I have chosen to recognise their incredible contribution by funding a one-off bonus payment for these individuals, and I am pleased to say that this will include those who work for NHS or Local Authority commissioned services in Wales, to include mental health commissioned services.
