Will the Minister confirm whether the deposit return scheme pilot that was to take place in Colwyn Heights, Conwy, has commenced as planned?

The work to prepare for the pilot is proceeding, however it is not yet possible to confirm a start date due to the uncertain nature of the coronavirus pandemic. We hope to begin the trial in the late spring or early summer, although this will depend on the level of restrictions in place at that time and officials are keeping the situation under constant review. In advance of the pilot, we will be actively engaging residents in the area to encourage people to take part in this important trial.
