When does the Minister expect the NHS Delivery Unit to complete and publish their review of the effectiveness of NHS crisis and psychiatric liaison services in Wales?
The NHS Delivery Unit review of crisis and psychiatric liaison services has been delayed due to the pandemic.
The focus has been on sustaining essential services during very challenging times and adapting services models within the restrictions. However, the review is underway and the aim is to complete fieldwork by the end of October 2021. At the conclusion of each review, the relevant health board will be provided with a full local report. The majority of health boards will have their local reports during the spring and summer with the final health board being reviewed in the autumn.
At the conclusion of the local reviews, a national report will be produced and published before the end of 2021. This timetable remains dependent on restrictions and health boards’ ability to engage fully with the review.
