What consideration has the Welsh Government given to prioritising COVID-19 vaccinations for volunteers providing support to people sheltering in communities across Wales?

Answered by Minister for Health and Social Services | Answered on 01/03/2021

Wales, like the other UK nations is vaccinating people who are most at-risk of catching coronavirus and developing serious illnesses first, in line with the recommendations from the JCVI.

Whilst volunteers supporting people shielding have not been identified as a specific priority group by the JCVI, individuals volunteering who fall into the age-based or clinically vulnerable groupings on which roll-out is based will be offered the vaccine in line with their relative risk.
