What support does the Welsh Government offer households to help make energy efficient improvements to their properties, such as installing solar panels?

Answered by Minister for Environment, Energy and Rural Affairs | Answered on 15/02/2021

Home energy efficiency measures and advice are made available to lower income households in the owner occupier and private rented sector through the Warm Homes Programme. Measures are provided only as recommended following a whole house assessment. Households not eligible for support through the Warm Homes Programme can apply to their Local Authority for a Welsh Government funded interest free home improvement loan, subject to meeting eligibility criteria set by the Local Authority. Home energy efficiency improvements to households in the social sector are supported through funding made available to support homes mandated to meet the Welsh Housing Quality Standard.
