Will the Minister confirm at what stage the recruitment process to hire an interim environmental protection assessor is currently at and outline the target date for when this individual will be in post?

Interviews for the position of Interim Environmental Protection Assessor were held on Friday 13 November. I will announce the appointment in December. It is my intention to have the Interim Assessor in place by the end of the transition period.
