Will the First Minister explain why in the Welsh Government press briefing on Monday 19 October he claimed that grant money for small and medium-sized businesses forced to close during the firebreak lockdown would be paid to firms automatically when that is not the case?

To confirm, businesses will automatically qualify for aspects of our £200 million Lockdown Business Fund if they were on the non-domestic rates (NDR) rating list for their local authority on 1 September. While some businesses will have properties that are automatically eligible for an NDR grant, to receive any of the Lockdown Business Funds, all businesses will need to register their details, as well as make a short on-line application to their respective local authority for the discretionary elements of the Fund.
