Given the assurances provided to to the Health, Social Care and Sport Committee on the 16 July 2020 that hardship funding for adult social care would be provided until the end of September 2020, when will the Minister formally confirm this to local authorities?

I am answering these questions together. Formal confirmation was issued on 31 July of a further £22.7 million being made available to local authorities until the end of September through the Local Government Hardship Fund. This is to enable local authorities to assist adult social care providers with the range of continued costs they are incurring as a result of Covid-19, including increased premiums for insurance.
