What steps is the Minister taking to protect the care home sector from the impact of insurance companies excluding coronavirus from insurance policies or increasing premiums due to Covid-19?

I am answering these questions together. Formal confirmation was issued on 31 July of a further £22.7 million being made available to local authorities until the end of September through the Local Government Hardship Fund. This is to enable local authorities to assist adult social care providers with the range of continued costs they are incurring as a result of Covid-19, including increased premiums for insurance.
