Further to the recent review of coronavirus restrictions in Wales, will the First Minister make a statement on when driving lessons, theory and practical tests will be able to restart in Wales?
We are introducing a phased restart in Wales with driving lessons taking place from 27 July. Theory tests will restart on Monday 3 August, along with vocational, motorcycle, lorry, bus and coach, car and trailer and tractor driving tests. Driving tests will start from Monday 17 August, as well as the restarting of driving instructor testing and standards checks.
We have been working closely with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency to ensure that when testing restarts in Wales it is done safely for everyone concerned, including customers and those conducting testing.
