Will the Minister state how much funding has been provided to Penmaenmawr Food Bank in 2019/20 and 2020/21, and clarify the conditions on the use of the money, if any?
Answered by Deputy Minister for Housing and Local Government | Answered on 16/07/2020
Welsh Government did not provide any funding direct to Penmaenmawr Food Bank in 2019/20 and 2020/21.
Welsh Government is fully supportive of the Food Bank network across Wales and has delivered 300 emergency food parcels to Penmaenmawr in 2020/21 during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.
In 2020/21 £98k of funding has been provided to Fareshare Cymru to enable weekly food drops to 30 independent food banks across North Wales, one of these being Penmaenmawr.
