Will the Minister confirm whether owners of static caravans in Wales are allowed to travel to their caravans to prepare them for use after 6 July 2020 when "stay local" travel restrictions are due to be lifted, but before the date for reopening self-contained accommodation facilities on 13 July 2020?

Answered by Deputy Minister for Culture, Sport and Tourism | Answered on 06/07/2020

From 6 July, people will be permitted to travel throughout Wales. From that date, a caravan owner (or someone acting on their behalf – a cleaner for example) can visit a holiday park to inspect, maintain or prepare their caravan for rental or future use, but no one* can occupy the caravan until the restrictions on sites are lifted on 11 July.

Before visiting, owners should secure the agreement of the site owner. Everybody on the site should continue to observe the social distancing requirements currently in force in Wales and practise good hand hygiene

(* except for some people remaining on sites as they would otherwise be made homeless and/or in response to a request from the Welsh Ministers or a local authority)
