In light of the low price of wool, what discussions has the Minister had with the British Wool Board and farming unions, and would the Minister be willing to consider long term opportunities to develop and add value to this core resource?

My officials have held regular discussions stakeholders through the Agriculture Resilience Group and Sheep Focus Group to monitor the situation and I have agreed to meet with representatives of British Wool to discuss the impact Covid-19 has had on the wool industry. I will consider all options which will help add value to wool, and encourage individuals with innovative ideas to access support wherever possible.
